Jigsaw Young Person's Health service commenced operation in May 2005 and is jointly managed by Barwon Health, Pathways Rehabilitation and Support Services and Clockwork Youth Health Service. United Way has provided essential funding to support this initiative. The service aims to provide a comprehensive, youth friendly and accessible health service designed to engage and work with the young people of Corio/North Geelong aged between 16 and 25 years. It is located within the Corio Shopping Centre. Current services include a bulk billing GP Clinic, specialist mental health and drug and alcohol treatment services, community nursing including specialist sexual reproductive health nursing, group treatment and counselling. The clinic is enhanced by the presence of the YAPP [young approach to positive parenting] program which provides a satellite presence one session per week. A CASA [Centre against Sexual Assault] counselor provides a satellite presence two sessions per week.
