Program summary

The Practice Nurse Peer Support Groups provide a forum for Practice Nurses (Div 1 and 2) to communicate and exchange ideas with peers around a number of Nursing and General Practice issues. Topics for each meeting are selected by the group members.

Peer Support Groups are led by the Practice Nurse Group members and are confidential. The groups are held bi-monthly (six meetings per year), run for approximately 90 minutes, attract 1.5 CNE Points per meeting, and are capped at 15 participants per group.

There are currently three groups that meet bi-monthly at the GPAG office:

  • Practice Nurse Peer Group - Monday Evening group - 6pm - 7.30pm
  • Practice Nurse Peer Group - Tuesday Lunch group - 12.15pm - 1.45pm
  • Pap Test Provider Peer Group - Monday evenings - 6pm - 7.30pm
