Nurses are available to assist GPs with patients who have a severe mental illness. Advantages include:

  • input to ensure the practice is fully optimising the mental health care plan, review and case conferencing item numbers
  • nurses have a breadth of knowledge of resources, psycho-education, therapy and counselling skills for patients, carers and family
  • support for patients to take medications reliably
  • input from a psychiatrist and integration with other mental health providers.

Contact Bill Kuluris on 0409 169 142 or Pam Callaly on 5229 1922 for more information or to arrange a practice visit.
