Program summary

 The GP Association offers a range of support to General Practice including:

  • CPD updates
  • A range of templates and resources
  • Centralised intake for diabetes prevention programs
  • MBS help desk

Diabetes Australia co-locates with the GP Association of Geelong, which gives both organisations a better opportunity for planning services for diabetes in our region.

Updates/latest developments

The GP Association is offering centralised intake for a diabetes prevention program which includes Life! Taking Action on Diabetes for the over 50s, and the Lifestyle Modification Program for the 40-49 year olds.

Currently the GP Association is working with some private allied health providers to develop an education program for people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, utilising the group services item numbers.
