Program summary

The Mother & Baby Program aims to provide knowledge and skills to GPs in Antenatal Care, Women's Heath and Paediatrics.

Antenatal Supervised Clinical Attachment Program

(40 Category one Points)

The Antenatal Clinical Attachment program is a 6 week program that provides GPs with an opportunity to participate in shared antenatal care upskilling and as well as an opportunity for GPs to familiarise themselves with the current maternity care, hospital guidelines and protocols. GPs are required to attend for one, 3.5 hour session a week, for 3 weeks, with an optional extra session with a consultant.

Part of the program requires you to be accredited to the hospital as a "GP to antenatal shared care program". It will be necessary for you to complete a form which is then taken to the "Credentials Committee" of the hospital for ratification. This is mainly to satisfy the legal requirements for indemnity through the hospital system whilst attending the clinics.
