The Barwon Medicare Local offers a comprehensive recruitment service to member practices and doctors interested in pursuing satisfying professional opportunities and lifestyles in Victoria's magnificent Bellarine and Surf Coast region.

The GP Association maintains a comprehensive database of all vacancies and has available a detailed practice profile for each. Our Workforce Officer can assist practices to develop their profile to ensure we have access to relevant information for GPs interested in a position.

When a prospective GP contacts the GP Association looking for a position, the Workforce Officer can:

• Discuss all vacancies to see which ones may be suitable
• Contact practices that have a suitable vacancy

• Arrange familiarisation visits to the practice

The Workforce Officer assists in matching candidates to a practice that is suitable for their needs, skills and interests.

GP Association provides further assistance to International Medical Gruaduates (IMGs) with advice and support.
