George Golding Memorial Trust

Who was Dr George Golding?
In 2007 our Division launched the “Dr George Golding Memorial Fund”  in memory of Dr George Golding (1941 – 2005) founder and CEO of the Barwon Medicare Local. Dr Golding died suddenly in 2005 from an aggressive cancer. During his life he devoted his time and expertise to the education and mentoring of medical students, registrars and GPs. The purpose of the “Dr George Golding Memorial Fund” is to provide an annual scholarship, which will be awarded each year to a student entering Deakin University Medical School. The successful applicant will receive a payment of $5000 towards the cost of his/her medical education.
